I Have A Confession...

I am obsessed with lip balms. OBSESSED with capital letters and a jazz hands if you could picture that.

Around Christmas time I found out that there are many sellers on Etsy who sell home made lip balms. HOMEMADE! I am always amazed by the stuff people make in their homes and sell. I never thought I'd be selling baby hats and crochet gear from my home but I love doing it and it really brings me a lot of joy. I'm sure these sellers feel the same way. It's do different than buying items from a mass retailer. While I work for a natural products company, which has amazing lip balm as well I must say, I venture out from time to time (lately, all the time) to find some treats for my precious pout.

First, I found this seller, Soapopotamus, at Christmas time while trying to locate presents for my darling preteen nieces who I no longer have a clue what to get. While doing so I found Soapopotamus. Her shop was amazing...so many choices on adorable soaps. I bought my niece some awesome sweet treats and then for me I bought Elvis Sandwich lip balm. Even though it did have The King's name on it (I am not a fan) it said it tasted like a peanut butter and banana sandwich. I LOVE THOSE. I love just about anything with peanut butter but to include bananas, heaven right? YES. This lip balm gets an A from me! I love the taste. My only wish is that it stayed on the lips longer. I have since reordered and had the pleasure to enjoy Strawberry Pastry, Chai Latte, and of course another order of Elvis Sandwich. I highly recommend. Shipping is SUPER quick.

Next, also at Christmas, I found a seller who appealed to my search for an adult age gift for my bestest friend. Ophelia's Apoth*e*cary carried some natural personal care items as well as delicious looking lip balms. Being a high sales seller on Etsy, I decided I needed to try out their stash. I bought a Spa Box for my bestest pal and for me, 4 lip balms. Yes, 4 of them. I got White Chocolate, Carrot Cake, Pistachio Ice Cream, and Buttercream Frosting. Dear God, if I die, please let me take these lip balms with me!!! They are smooth on the lips, stay for hours, taste like happiness. I love them. In fact, I've placed another order. My favorite, Pistachio Ice Cream was eaten by my lovely dog. I had to replace. Meanwhile I bought two additional flavors and a lip scrub which I cannot wait to try. Shipping from these guys takes a bit, but it is worth it. Besides, I have some lip balm to hold me over. ;)

Lastly, I just purchased another lip treat from these guys : Longwinterfarm Actually, I purchased five. That's right, we're up to 12 lip balms in the past 2 months...shhhh, please don't tell Mike. With names like Joe (Hazelnut Latte), Honey Almond, Chocolate Cherry, Pumpkin Cheesecake, and Vanilla Pear how can you NOT purchase? Many sellers will give you a deal if you purchase in packs. I recommend this because it will also save you in shipping. I can't grade this seller yet because I just purchased. Once I get them in, I will give an update.

Well, now that you know all about my obsession I feel better. I sure needed to get that off my chest and into cyberland. Perhaps now I can focus on school work instead of Etsy shopping, which is seriously like CRACK. Crack for moms who work too much and don't shop anymore besides off the internet. At least it's homemade crack and not that stuff those mass market guys produce ;) Right?
